Take a Pic! - Shibuya Neon X-ing

This is for the Neon Nights Contest on Deviantart! I had a lot of fun with this wallpaper, I rarely do much cityscape or neon stuff in general. I used a combination of photobashing and digital painting, and while I had a little difficulty with scale and what colors to use, I learned a bit from this whole work. I tried to capture something casual yet bright and colorful such as these kids taking a picture in the middle of Shibuya Crossing in Japan. Had to alter a few signs and also change some buildings because of scale difficulty and the slightly weird angle at first. I also added a Godzilla in the back behind the buildings since I grew up watching him destroy brightly lit cities like this. Just a fun addition.

As humans, we're naturally attached to bright colors but some can find it to be too stimulating, haha. But I think the beautiful buzz of the night life is something everyone should experience. There's different things to see when the sun goes down.
